Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Kitchen Table is operated by Harry Taylor, trading as Kitchen Table, of 275 New North Road, Islington #1108, London, N1 7AA, United Kingdom. You can reach us at contact@thekt.uk.

These terms apply when you buy or use Kitchen Table at thekt.uk. By buying, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not buy.

2. What you are buying

One payment of £19. That gets you:

• Access to all courses currently on Kitchen Table
• Access to the member community
• Any courses or tools we add later, at no extra cost
• A partner account, which you may use or ignore

There is no subscription. Nothing renews. There is no second tier and nothing behind a further paywall.

3. What we do not promise

We make no representation about earnings. We do not promise, project, estimate or imply that you will make any money. Whether you do depends on what you make, who you make it for, and how much you stick at it — none of which is within our control.

Anyone telling you otherwise, including anyone sharing our partner link, is acting outside these terms.

The courses are educational. They are not financial, tax, legal or business advice. Where a course mentions tax, licensing or the law, it tells you to check the current position on gov.uk or take proper advice, and you should.

4. Your account

You need an account to access the courses. Keep your login details to yourself. It is one account per person — please do not share it, and do not let others use it.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or the Partner Rules.

5. How long access lasts

Access is for as long as Kitchen Table operates. It is not a fixed term and it is not for life, because we cannot promise a website will exist forever and nor can anyone else.

If we ever have to close Kitchen Table down, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email and make the course material available to download before we go.

6. What you can and cannot do with the material

The courses, the writing, the design and the tools are ours and stay ours.

You may: read it, use it, apply it to your own business, and keep your own notes.

You may not: copy it, share it, republish it, resell it, or use it to train an AI model — whether or not you change it first.

If you would like to use something from it in your own teaching, ask. We are not precious, but we would like to be asked.

7. The community

Post honestly and be decent. Specifically:

• No income figures or earnings screenshots. Talk about the work, not the balance.
• No selling, spam, or "DM me" pitches
• Nothing unlawful, abusive or discriminatory
• Do not post other people's private messages or personal information

We may hide or remove posts and close accounts that break these rules. Reported posts are hidden while we look at them, which sometimes means an innocent post disappears for a few hours. We would rather that than the alternative.

8. The free Idea Checker

The Idea Checker is free, and uses an AI model to give you an opinion on an idea.

It is an opinion, not advice, it can be wrong, and it does not know your circumstances. Do not make a decision that matters on the strength of it alone. We may cap or withdraw it at any time.

9. If something goes wrong

We will do our best to keep Kitchen Table available, but we do not guarantee it will be up all the time.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected — including your right to digital content that is of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described.

Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will email you. Continuing to use Kitchen Table after that means you accept the new version.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you may bring proceedings in your own country's courts.

Privacy Policy

1. Who is responsible

Harry Taylor, trading as Kitchen Table, of 275 New North Road, Islington #1108, London, N1 7AA, United Kingdom, is the data controller. Contact: contact@thekt.uk.

2. What we collect

When you buy: your name, email address, and country. Your card details go straight to Stripe and never touch our systems — we only ever see the last four digits and the card type.

When you use the site: which lessons you have completed, which quizzes you have passed, and anything you post in the community.

If you use your partner link: the number of clicks it receives, by day. We do not record who clicked, their IP address, or anything about them.

When you use the free Idea Checker: the text you type, sent to our AI provider to generate the response. We store a one-way hashed version of your IP address purely to enforce the daily usage limit. We cannot reverse it to identify you.

We do not use advertising trackers, sell your data, or share it with advertisers.

3. Why we are allowed to hold it

4. Who processes it for us

Each has its own privacy policy and appropriate safeguards for transfers outside the UK. We do not give your data to anyone else unless the law requires it.

5. How long we keep it

• Account and progress: while your account is open, then deleted within 30 days of closure
• Payment and commission records: at least six years, because tax law requires it — this survives account deletion
• Community posts: until deleted by you or removed by us
• Idea Checker rate-limit records: 30 days
• Marketing list: until you unsubscribe

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to:

• show you what we hold about you
• correct anything wrong
• delete it (except the records tax law makes us keep)
• stop using it for a particular purpose
• give you a portable copy
• stop sending you marketing

Email contact@thekt.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are not happy with how we handle it, you can complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.

7. Marketing

We will only email you marketing if you have asked for it. Every one has an unsubscribe link and we act on it immediately. Buying from us does not automatically sign you up.

8. Cookies

We use only what is necessary to make the site work:

• a sign-in cookie, so you stay logged in
• a partner referral cookie lasting 60 days, if you arrived through someone's link

No analytics or advertising cookies.

9. Children

Kitchen Table is for adults. It is not aimed at under-18s and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

Refund Policy

The short version

30 days, no argument. Email contact@thekt.uk within 30 days of buying and we will refund you in full. You do not have to explain, and we will not try to talk you out of it.

Your statutory position

Normally, buying online gives you 14 days to change your mind. Digital content works differently. Because you get access to Kitchen Table immediately, you are asked at checkout to tick a box confirming:

• you want access straight away, and
• you understand that means you lose the automatic 14-day cancellation right

That is a requirement of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, and you have to actively tick it — it is never pre-ticked.

So why offer 30 days anyway?

Because you cannot judge something you have not read, and asking you to take that risk on our word is not reasonable. The 30 days is our own policy, offered because it should be.

How to get one

Email contact@thekt.uk. Include the address you paid with. We will process it within 5 working days and it will reach your account within 5–10 working days after that, depending on your bank. Your access ends when the refund is processed.

If something is actually wrong

Separate from the above: if the material is faulty, does not work, or is not what we described, you have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 regardless of any time limit. Tell us and we will fix it or refund it.

Partner commission and refunds

If you were referred by a partner and you get a refund, their commission on your purchase is cancelled. That is why commission is held for 30 days before it is paid out.

The one thing we ask

If you have bought through someone's partner link and you want a refund, come to us, not to your bank. A chargeback costs us more than the sale itself and takes weeks. We will refund you faster than your bank will.

Partner Rules

This is the important one. Read all of it before you share your link. You must accept these rules before any commission is paid to you.

1. What the partner scheme is

Buy Kitchen Table and you get a partner link automatically. Share it if you want to. Ignore it if you do not.

• You earn 50% — £9.50 — of every £19 purchase made through your link.
• Commission is held for 30 days while the buyer's refund window runs.
• Cleared commission is paid on the 1st of the month.
• A refunded sale pays no commission. That is the only catch and it is the honest one.
• There is nothing to apply for, nothing to pay, and no target to hit.

2. What the partner scheme is not

You earn when someone buys Kitchen Table to learn from it. You never earn from signing anyone up as a seller.

• There are no tiers. You earn nothing from what the people you referred go on to refer.
• There is no team, downline, or structure of any kind.
• There is nothing to buy beyond the one £19 purchase.

This structure is deliberate. It is what keeps the scheme clearly on the right side of the Trading Schemes Act 1996 and the prohibition on pyramid promotional schemes in the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008.

3. Income claims — the rule that gets accounts closed

You must never make any claim about earnings. Yours, ours, or anyone's. That includes, and is not limited to:

• Any figure you have earned — "I made £400 this week"
• Screenshots of a balance, payout, or sale notification, including blurred or partial ones
• "This paid for our holiday" or anything implying an amount
• "Passive income", "replace your salary", "quit your job", "financial freedom"
• "Some people make £X" — attributing it to others does not help
• "Imagine if you sold just 10 a day" — hypothetical maths is still a claim
• Adding "results not typical" underneath. The disclaimer does not fix it.

Why we are strict about this. Advertising rules under the CAP Code apply to what you post about a product you are paid to promote, and the CMA has powers here too. A claim you make is a problem with our name attached to it.

And more simply: nobody knows what anyone will earn. A figure presented as an example is a promise dressed up as motivation, and it is the exact thing Kitchen Table exists in opposition to.

4. You must say you are a partner

If you are posting about Kitchen Table and you earn from it, that has to be obvious to the person reading, in the post itself.

"#ad", "partner link", or just saying it plainly all work. Buried in a bio, in grey text at the bottom, or mentioned only if asked — those do not.

5. What else you must not do

• No cold DMs. Not to strangers, not to your whole contacts list.
• No comment spam, particularly under other people's videos.
• No posting in groups that prohibit affiliate links. Read the rules; they mean it.
• No buying ads on our brand name or bidding on "Kitchen Table" in search.
• No pretending to be us. Do not imply you speak for Kitchen Table, do not use our name in your account handle, do not set up anything that looks official.
• No claims we have not made. Do not promise outcomes, guarantees, or features that do not exist.
• No self-referral. You cannot earn commission on your own purchase, or on purchases made by accounts you control.

6. What happens if you break these rules

Your account is closed and any unpaid commission is forfeited.

There is no warning system, because by the time a claim is public the damage is already done. If it is genuinely a misunderstanding, tell us and we will listen — but we would rather you asked first. Nobody has ever been in trouble for asking.

7. Getting paid

• You need to accept these rules and complete payout setup before any money moves.
• Payouts go through Stripe, which will ask you to verify your identity. That is their requirement and we cannot skip it.
• We pay on the 1st of the month for commission that has cleared its 30 days.
• If a payment fails, the commission stays pending and we try again next month. It is not lost.
• If you close your Kitchen Table account, any unpaid commission that has already cleared will still be paid.

8. Tax is yours

Commission is your income. You are responsible for declaring it and paying any tax due on it. We do not deduct tax and we are not your employer.

Remember the trading allowance counts all your trading income together — commission from us plus anything you earn elsewhere. Course 6 covers this, and it tells you to check gov.uk, which you should.

9. This is not employment

Being a partner does not make you an employee, worker, agent or partner in the legal sense. You are not obliged to promote anything, you set your own hours, and there is no minimum.

10. We can change or end it

We may change these rules or close the scheme. We will give 30 days' notice by email, and any commission already earned will still be paid.
